As a complex trauma specialist, I'm dedicated to addressing the lasting effects of trauma across diverse communities. I focus significantly on advocacy and awareness for trauma-related issues, with a particular passion for racial/race-based trauma, multiracial identity, and fostering strength-based healing.

Hosted by The Connecticut Children’s Alliance (CCA), the conference is a free event for all participants and this year we expect over 800 attendees for two full days of learning, networking and collaborating. With workshops and presentations from local and national experts, our goal is to give professionals such as law enforcement, prosecution, medical, mental health and community advocates, the tools to help prevent, treat and reduce trauma in children who have been significantly abused.
Child Health Development Institute (CHDI) & CT Clearinghouse present’s DCF’s annual 2 day conference for the Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services
The 17th Annual Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Conference was held on May 20th at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
This year's conference, themed "Connect. Learn. Grow. Share" brought together nearly 500 behavioral health providers, school professionals, state agency staff, and others working with CHDI and the State of Connecticut to strengthen children's behavioral health EBPs.

Dismantling Systemic Racism, sponsored by the State Education Resource Center (SERC) in collaboration with the SERC Foundation, focuses on ways to support, promote, and develop racial equity in education.
The full-day conference supports educators, families, and community leaders who seek to confront racist structures and practices to better serve Connecticut’s students and their families, through advocacy and the development, implementation, and sustainability of innovative, culturally relevant programming. In order to eliminate racially disparate outcomes, the focus is on all students, but particularly Black and Brown students, as well as multilingual students and students with disabilities.
